Emergency Food Aid

For Afghan Families in severe Need

Since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, the country is witnessing one of the world’s most extensive and most severe hunger crises, and acute food insecurity has surged in 2022, as reported by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
According to the FAO report, the hunger crisis is affecting 22.8 million people, which is equivalent to more than half of the population. This crisis is a result of extended drought, conflict, and political instability, as mentioned in a report by Khaama Press.

London/Geneva, 28 December, 2022 – The number of people facing severe levels of hunger has surged by almost 57% to 25.3 million from 16.1 million since 2019 in the 8 worst affected countries, amid an unprecedented global hunger crisis with increasing pockets of famine-like conditions, according to new Save the Children analysis. At Aseel, since the Taliban took over the country, we have helped more than 600,000 vulnerable individuals with emergency food and other vital items. Before the aid delivery, these individuals were all surveyed, and most of them were facing high food insecurity. We are determined to provide vital emergency food aid to Afghan families facing hunger and hardship. The situation in Afghanistan demands immediate action.
